Play Designer

Drop a formation, tap a receiver, tap a route, and the concept draws itself. Add a defensive front, a coverage shell and zone landmarks to see what the play is actually attacking. Built to work with one thumb, so you can install a concept from the couch and export a clean play card when you are done.

CircleA skill player on offense. Squares are offensive linemen, and the quarterback carries a crimson ring.
X markA defender. Charcoal keeps the defense visually separate from the offense.
ArrowA route or a ball carrier path. The arrowhead marks where the player finishes.
T endA block. The crossbar sits on the defender the lineman is responsible for.
Wavy linePre-snap motion. Draw it from the player's original alignment to where they end up.
Dashed lineA throw, a pitch or a handoff, so the ball path reads differently from the runner path.
ZonesDashed bubbles showing roughly where each zone defender is responsible in the coverage you picked. Turn them off for man looks.
PersonnelFirst digit is running backs, second is tight ends. 11 means one back and one tight end, so three receivers.
On mobileOne finger moves players and draws. Two fingers pinch to zoom and drag to pan. Tap the expand button for a full screen field.
DrawingIn a draw tool, tap a player to start, then tap each break point. Tap Done to finish. Dragging instead of tapping gives you a freehand line.

Formations, fronts and coverages are common starting points, not gospel. Drag anyone to fit your scheme, and use Flip to run the whole thing to the other side.

Play Designer is a drawing tool, so nothing here is a measured stat. The formations, fronts and coverage shells are standard alignments meant as a starting point, not a scouting report. Data powered by xEP Network.
